If slim phones have been the weapon of choice for most multimedia phone brands for he past couple of years, how could Windows Mobile devices stay left behind? The big, bulky devices of yore have now transformed into slim and sexy devices like the i -mate SPL and JAQ3.
Designed To Kill
The JAQ3 is every business phone user’s dream come true. Not only is it slim and aesthetically pleasing but it also manages to pack in a spacious QWERTY keypad and a 2.4 inch QVGA touch screen display. To improve the user experience, a three-way jog-dial with an OK key has been provided on the left edge. The entire device has been treated with a rubberized finish that provides a good grip and also makes it resistant to scratches. Done up in classy black, the handheld weighs a neat 160 gram, which is hardly felt when the device is held in the hand as the weight has been uniformly distributed over the entire surface. The Hunting Party full
The only sore point is the glossy keypad, which reflects ambient light that makes it hard to read the marking on the keys. Moreover, for the secondary markings (special characters) a hue of blue has been used, which is not visible at all. This oversight could probably make the difference between a masterpiece and the average Joe. On either side of the D-pad, there are two rows of keys-two soft keys, start key, o.k. key and quick-launch keys for internet Explorer and messaging functions. On the left edge, apart from the jog-dial, a button to activate the 2 megapixel camera has been provided. While on the right, there is the mini USB port for charging and connecting with a PC, a 2.5 mm audio jack and the power button on the bottom right edge. The location of the power key is unique in JAQ3 as it usually found either on the top half of the left edge.
